How difficult experiences can shape us
Trauma isn't only about a single catastrophic event. It can also come from ongoing experiences: emotional neglect, criticism, unpredictability, betrayal, or never feeling safe to be yourself. These experiences can affect identity, relationships, and how your body responds to stress.

Shame, disconnection, and attachment injuries
When hurt happens in relationships, especially with people we depended on, it can leave an attachment injury: a deep sense that closeness isn't safe. Shame often follows, convincing us the hurt was our fault. Healing involves experiencing a relationship where that isn't true.
A collaborative, trauma-informed approach
Trauma-informed care means safety, choice, and collaboration come first. You decide what to share and when. We'll pay attention to how your body and emotions respond, and slow down when we need to.
Tyler's approach is attachment-based and trauma-informed. He does not currently advertise specialized trauma protocols such as EMDR. If a more specialized approach would serve you better, he'll tell you and help you find it.

No. You're in control of what you share and when. Healing doesn't require reliving every detail.
Does Tyler offer EMDR?
Tyler's trauma work is attachment-based and trauma-informed. He does not currently list EMDR among his services. Ask during your consultation if you're looking for a specific method.
